Ward 2 Candidate Lori Gauthier
My name is Lori Gauthier and for 40+ years the Seine River School Division community has been a huge part of my life. This is where I grew up, went to school, built my career and raised my family.
I attended elementary and high school in Lorette, and both of my daughters also graduated from Collège Lorette Collegiate. I’ve also had the privilege of serving the students and families as a Teacher, Learning Support Teacher, Literacy Consultant and Principal in Seine River for all my career!
Education is something I believe in deeply, and I feel a strong sense of responsibility to give back to the division and community that has given me so much.
I believe my experience will bring great perspective in making decisions with students and teachers needs and well-being at the forefront.
I believe our children should be at the heart of every decision we make. They deserve schools where they feel safe, respected, included and supported.
I also firmly believe in our teachers and school staff. I’ve seen firsthand the dedication they bring to their work every single day. They need to know that their voices are heard, their expertise is respected, and that they have the support and resources necessary to do their incredibly important jobs.
I would be honoured to continue serving the students, families and communities of Seine River.
