Election Workers Needed
2026 Seine River School Division Trustee Election
Seine River School Division is seeking temporary election workers to support the School Trustee Election on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Election workers play an important role in helping ensure the voting process is conducted fairly, accurately, and efficiently.
If you are 18 years of age or older and legally entitled to work in Canada, we encourage you to apply.
Election worker positions may include:
- Election Officer
- Voting Officer
- Registration Officer
- Safety Officer
Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- The ability to remain impartial and professional
- The ability to learn and follow election procedures
- The ability to work a long day on Election Day
Compensation
- Election Day: $300
- Meal Allowance: $25
- Mandatory Training Session (2-3 hours): $50
All election workers must attend a mandatory training session in October 2026 prior to Election Day.
Important Information
- Election workers are hired on a temporary basis for the 2026 School Trustee Election.
- Applicants may indicate their preferred ward(s) for assignment; however, placements will be based on operational requirements.
- Staffing needs will depend on whether an election is required in a particular ward or community.
- Submission of an application does not guarantee selection.
