Candidate Vicky Kiansky

Ward 1 Candidate Vicky Kiansky

Vicky KianskyVicky is a dedicated, community minded parent with a passion for education. After eight years as a school trustee, she brings a strong understanding of the Seine River School Division and the responsibilities of effective governance. As Chair of the Governance Committee, Vicky led the modernization of outdated policies, introducing clear divisional direction. She also initiated and chaired the Communications Committee, helping trustees spend more time in schools and make better informed decisions. Now serving as Vice Chair of the Board, she brings fresh ideas and a collaborative spirit to the Board.

With 20 years in public service, Vicky’s experience in policy, public accountability, and responsible use of resources directly complements a trustee’s role. As Director of Policy for Student Access and Success in the Manitoba government, she understands the importance of evidence based decision making and how to direct limited funding to the priorities that matter most.

Vicky’s Master’s degree in Family Social Sciences and past volunteer roles including United Way and Bookmates Inc. brings a deeper understanding of community needs and challenges. Vicky is running again to build on the division’s progress, strengthen advocacy, and ensure decisions are made through meaningful engagement so our students are prepared to succeed in school and in the world beyond graduation.
