Ward 2 Candidate Chad Kessler
My name is Chad Kessler, and I’m running in Ward 2 as your next School Trustee because I know our families deserve a strong voice within SRSD.
When my wife and I bought our first home in 2023, the schools were a big part of why we chose this community. But as a dad with two kids, I've watched the recent struggles in our division firsthand. The financial missteps of 2023 when 4 million dollars was unaccounted for, last-minute communication to parents during serious situations, surprise fees or changes to payment plans. Parents are frustrated, and taxpayers are left in the dark.
I’m stepping forward because we need to get back to the basics. Raising fundamental academic scores; fixing budget oversight so taxpayer dollars are tracked and spent appropriately; respecting parents as the primary authority in their children's upbringing, with input on major decisions, and opt-out choices for sensitive topics such as the new sexual health curriculum for grades K-12; and preparing for community growth instead of reacting to it.
Help me restore confidence in our schools through practical leadership.
I’d be privileged to have your vote.
