•           Hall rental for convocation and evening

•           Grad gift/video

Payments may be made at CLC’s main office at any point during the school year.  Payments (or fundraised amounts) must be received according to the following schedule:

April 28, 2017               $150.00 payment due

May 19, 2017                balance due

If the student is planning on attending the convocation ceremony only, the cost will be $140.00.

Convocation Tickets

All potential grads will receive approximately ten (10) tickets for convocation (diploma ceremony). Grads do NOT need a ticket to enter. Tickets are free, and can be given away to other families who may need extra tickets. Please note: there is no overflow or children’s room at the venue.

Banquet Tickets

Please be aware that we have over 130 potential grads this year; therefore, there is a chance there will not be any extra dinner tickets available. We will not be able to confirm if any extra tickets are available until after all graduates return their completed Grad Participation form, which is mailed home in March 2017.

If extra tickets are available, they will be sold at the office on June 9, 2017, at a cost of $60.00 per dinner ticket. A lottery will be held to select student(s) who may purchase the extra tickets. Grad fees must be paid in full before additional banquet tickets can be purchased.

•  All grads, dates, and guests need a ticket to attend the banquet.

Fundraising

Graduating students have the opportunity to fundraise money that will go into their individual grad accounts.  Money in the individual grad accounts can be used towards grad fees, banquet tickets, grad wear, grad rings, or grad photos.  Receiving cash back from fundraised money in individual grad accounts is not an option.

Grad Committee

The grad committee is a group of willing Grade 12 students that would like to help plan Grad 2017.  All potential grads are welcome to attend the Grad Committee’s monthly meetings which occur during lunch hour on the first Wednesday of each month in Mrs. Madrid’s room.

Credit Checks

It is the graduate’s responsibility to ensure they have the correct amount and right types of credits in order to graduate. All potential grads must visit the guidance counsellor (Mme. Cormier) to ensure a proper credit check is done. Please visit the guidance office on your spare. If you have no spares, or are an Apprenticeship student, please contact Mme. Cormier to set up a time to review your credits.

Graduates require a minimum of five 40-Level courses to graduate and six 40-Level courses to attend university with a total of 30 credits or more. Note: universities and colleges have different entrance requirements. Students are responsible to be sure they have the entrance requirements they need.

Grad Photos

Sittings for grad portraits will take place at the school during exam week at the end of January with re-takes in early March.  Announcements will be made once the sign-up sheet for the sittings has been posted in the office.

Note: Only the grad portraits taken at the school will appear in the composite picture displayed in CLC’s hallway.

Grad Wear

Designed and sold by CLC Fashion Entrepreneurship students. Remind text messages will be sent when grad wear is available for purchase.

Grad Rings

Catalogues featuring a variety of designs and options are available for all students.  Grad ring orders will only take place during the lunch hour on Wednesday, October 28, 2016 in Room 7.  A $60.00 deposit is required at the time of ordering. Check out the website for more details or to design your own ring online: www.jostens.ca.

Grad Video

A grad video will be produced by Mr. Giesbrecht. Please e-mail or bring in an envelope of THREE baby/childhood photos of yourself to Mr. Giesbrecht before the end of first semester.

Remind Text & E-mail Alerts

CLC uses the Remind Text alert service to notify potential grads and their parents/guardians about important grad-related news and reminders. There is no charge for this service, but your cell provider's text messaging rates still apply. You can sign up for this service by texting the number (204) 800-5252 with the message @clcgrad17. Once that’s done, you’re signed up.

To receive e-mail messages: e-mail clcgrad17@mail.remind.com. You can leave the subject line blank.

Safe Grad

Safe Grad is planned and supervised by an interested parent committee.  This is NOT a school event—administrators/staff do not attend. We are pleased to announce the Safe Grad 2017 co-ordinators: Mrs. Tracy Lecocq, and Mrs. Pauline Peters. Please help them throw a great party by signing up to volunteer your assistance at Safe Grad.

Contact: Mrs. Tracy Lecocq or Mrs. Pauline Peters.
