Seine River School Division
Division Scolaire Rivière Seine
Alternative Program
On-Site Alternative Programming: Off-Campus Alternative Programming:
Seine River School Division recognizes that there are students who require supports outside of the regular classroom in alternative settings. Students whose needs involve social/emotional support are provided an opportunity to learn within the school setting but outside of the regular classroom. The alternative programs allow students to complete high school credits using a combination of classroom and out-of-classroom settings.

Each high school in our division has an on-campus alternative setting to support students. The students receive supports beyond the regular classroom and resource supports available. Each high school alternative setting is tailored to meet the needs of its students. Each student is interviewed to determine eligibility and families are involved in the process. The program is staffed with one half-time teacher and an educational assistant.

Seine River School Division offers off-campus school sites for all of our three high schools; Ste. Anne, St. Norbert and Lorette. Ste. Anne and St. Norbert sites are physically separate from the school and provide opportunities for students who are not able to complete credits within a traditional school setting. Students are referred by staff, or can self refer to this program. Each student is interviewed to determine eligibility and families are involved in the process. Each high school program is staffed with one  teacher and a full time liaison worker.
